Claims14
A method for treating sickle-cell anemia comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of a triterpenoid compound selected from the group consisting of betulinic acid, maslinic acid, oleanolic acid, esters thereof and mixtures of any two or more thereof to a subject in need thereof.
A dosage form for the treatment of sickle-cell anaemia, the dosage form including a triterpenoid compound selected from betulinic acid, maslinic acid, oleanolic acid, esters thereof and mixtures of any two or more thereof.
A plant extract produced by extracting plant material of plants of the species Melaleuca bracteata or Syzygium aromaticum or a combination of such plant material or by combining extracts produced by extracting plant material of Melaleuca bracteata and Syzygium aromaticum for the treatment of sickle-cell anaemia.
A dosage form for the treatment of sickle-cell anaemia, the dosage form including an extract produced by extracting plant material of plants of the species Melaleuca bracteata or Syzygium aromaticum or a combination of such material or by combining extracts produced by extracting plant material of Melaleuca bracteata and Syzygium aromaticum.
