Enhanced information services using devices in short-range wireless networks

A method comprising:

• receiving, by a server and from a mobile device, predicted data that is predicted by the mobile device to be required by a computing device;
• receiving, by the server and from the computing device, a request for particular data from a device connected to the mobile device via a short-range wireless network;
• determining, by the server, whether the predicted data includes the particular data;
• generating, by the server, a reply based on the predicted data and when the predicted data includes the particular data;
• and
• transmitting, by the server, the reply to the computing device.

A mobile device comprising:

• one or more processors to:
• establish a voice connection with a first device associated with an information service provider,
• establish a data connection with a server associated with the information service provider,
• identify data, to be retrieved, based on a telephone number associated with the voice connection,
• retrieve the data from a second device that is connected to the mobile device, and
• send the data to the server via the data connection.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising:

• one or more instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to:
• identify data, to be retrieved, based on a telephone number associated with an information service provider;
• retrieve the data from a device via a short-range wireless network;
• and
• transmit, via a data network of a wireless carrier network, the data to a server associated with the information service provider.
