Systems and methods for lens characterization

A method comprising:

• accessing from computer readable memory, via a computer system, lens data corresponding to a first image captured using a first optical setting of a first lens;
• providing for display on a user terminal a user interface;
• transmitting the lens data to the user interface, the user interface configured to:
• display a first gradient plot for the first lens, wherein the first gradient plot corresponds to sharpness variations across at least one portion of the first image;
• display a chromatic aberration graph for the first lens, wherein the chromatic aberration graph corresponds to at least one portion of the first image;
• and
• at least partly in response to detecting a cursor position change within the display of the gradient plot, cause a corresponding alteration in a position and radius of a first curved line to thereby show a radius around the first image center.

A method comprising:

• accessing from computer readable memory, via a computer system, lens data corresponding to a first image captured using a first lens;
• providing for display on a user terminal a user interface;
• causing at least a portion of the lens data to be transmitted over a network to the user interface, wherein the user interface is configured to:
• display gradient plot data corresponding to the first lens, wherein the first gradient plot data corresponds to sharpness variations across at least one portion of the first image;
• detect a pointer position change within the display of the gradient plot data;
• and
• correspondingly alter a radius of a first curved line responsive to the change in the pointer position.

Non-transitory computer readable memory comprising program code that when executed by at least one computer device is configured to cause the at least one computing device to:

• access from computer readable memory lens data corresponding to a first image captured using a first lens;
• generate a gradient plot corresponding to sharpness variations across at least one portion of the first image;
• and
• provide for display a user interface that is configured to:
• display the gradient plot data for the first lens;
• detect a pointer position change within the display of the gradient plot;
• and
• correspondingly alter the radius of a first curved line to reflect the change in pointer position.
