Abstract
Methods, systems, and products are disclosed for processing a ring tone. An electronic database is queried for a calling number, and contact information associated with the calling number is retrieved. A ring tone database is queried for the contact information, and the ring tone database stores an association between the contact information and a ring tone. The ring tone associated with the contact information is retrieved and processed to alert a called number to a communication from the calling number.
Claims20
A method, comprising:
- processing a communication from a sending address to a recipient address;
- querying a database for the recipient address, the database storing associations between addresses and social networks;
- retrieving a social network associated with the recipient address;
- querying an alert database for the social network, the alert database storing associations between social networks and alerts;
- retrieving an alert associated with the social network;
- and
- processing the alert to notify the recipient address of the communication from the sending address.
A system, comprising:
- a processor;
- memory;
- and
- instructions stored in the memory that when executed cause the processor at least to:
- process a communication from a sending address to a recipient address;
- query a database for the recipient address, the database storing associations between addresses and social networks;
- retrieve a social network associated with the recipient address;
- query an alert database for the social network, the alert database storing associations between social networks and alerts;
- retrieve an alert associated with the social network;
- and
- process the alert to notify the recipient address of the communication from the sending address.
A computer readable storage medium storing processor-executable instructions for performing a method of providing a ring tone, the method comprising:
- processing a communication from a sending address to a recipient address;
- querying a database for the recipient address, the database storing associations between addresses and social networks;
- retrieving a social network associated with the recipient address;
- querying an alert database for the social network, the alert database storing associations between social networks and alerts;
- retrieving an alert associated with the social network;
- and
- processing the alert to notify the recipient address of the communication from the sending address.
