Abstract

The present invention has an object to provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition that provides a polyester-based pressure-sensitive adhesive capable of realizing both of heat resistance and adhesive force at high levels and a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet having a polyester-based pressure-sensitive adhesive. The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition provided by the present invention contains a polyester resin A with Mw of 4×104 to 12×104 and a polyester resin B with Mw of 0.3×104 to 1×104. The ratio (mA:mB) of the number of moles mA and mB of the polyester resins A and B is 1:0.35 to 1:1.4. The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition further contains a crosslinking agent, and has a gel fraction after crosslinking of 30 to 65%.

Dependent claims

A pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing a polyester resin as a main component,

which comprises at least a polyester resin A having a weight-average molecular weight of 4×104 to 12×104 and a polyester resin B having a weight-average molecular weight of 0.3×104 to 1×104 as the polyester resin,
wherein a ratio (mA:mB) of the number of moles mA of the polyester resin A contained calculated from the weight and weight-average molecular weight of the polyester resin A contained in the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition to the number of moles mB of the polyester resin B contained calculated from the weight and weight-average molecular weight of the polyester resin B contained in the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition is 1:0.35 to 1:1.4, and
wherein the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition further comprises a crosslinking agent having two or more functional groups, which react at least one of the polyester resins A and B, in one molecule thereof, and a gel fraction of a pressure-sensitive adhesive after crosslinking is 30 to 65%.
