Flexible font

A method to edit textual information on a mobile device in creating a message for display on a destination mobile device wherein the message is transmitted as a multimedia message within a cellular network, the mobile device having a user interface and a display screen and comprising internal processing means operable to create a message such that the text within the created message selectively displays from the group comprising:

• a plurality of font designs, a plurality of font colours and a plurality of font sizes, the method comprising the steps of:
• (a) Providing selectable graphics on the mobile device for selecting to include in a message and comprising font features including:
• a plurality of font designs, a plurality of font colours, a plurality of font sizes, italic type, boldface, uppercase and underline;
• (b) Selecting graphics from the selectable graphics on the mobile device in one of selecting text within a created message on the mobile device for converting to selectively display font features selected from the group comprising:
• a plurality of font designs, a plurality of font colours and a plurality of font sizes in creating a message for display as a multimedia message on a destination mobile device wherein the message is transmitted within a cellular network and selecting font features for editing the display of textual information to be entered onto the mobile device such that the entered textual information displays a font design, a font colour and a font size selected from the group comprising a plurality of font designs, a plurality of font colours and a plurality of font sizes in creating a message for display as a multimedia message on a destination mobile device wherein the message is transmitted within a cellular network.

A system applied on a mobile device having a user interface and a display screen, the system comprising internal processing means to edit textual information in creating a message for display on a destination mobile device wherein the message is transmitted as a multimedia message within a cellular network, wherein the means to edit textual information in creating a message comprises means to create a message such that the text within the created message selectively displays from the group comprising:

• a plurality of font designs, a plurality of font colours and a plurality of font sizes, the system comprising:
• (a) Selectable graphics within a menu on the mobile device for selecting to include in a message and comprising font features including:
• a plurality of font designs, a plurality of font colours and a plurality of font sizes, italic type, boldface, uppercase and underline;
• (b) Means to create a message comprising textual information on one of a touch screen mobile device and a non-touch screen mobile device;
• (c) Means to select text within any part of a created message on the mobile device for converting to selectively display from the group comprising:
• a plurality of font designs, a plurality of font colours and a plurality of font sizes;
• and
• (d) Means to open a menu comprising selectable graphics on the mobile device for selecting to include in a message in creating a message that selectively displays from the group comprising:
• a plurality of font designs, a plurality of font colours and a plurality of font sizes for display as a multimedia message on a destination mobile device wherein the means to open a menu comprising selectable graphics on the mobile device comprises means to select graphics in one of converting the font features of selected text within a created message on the mobile device such that the converted text selectively displays from the group comprising:
• a plurality of font designs, a plurality of font colours and a plurality of font sizes and selecting each of a font design, a font colour and a font size selected from the group comprising:
• a plurality of font designs, a plurality of font colours and a plurality of font sizes, wherein the selected graphics provide for the display of textual information to be entered onto the mobile device in creating a message.

A method of sending a message created on a first mobile device to a second mobile device within a cellular network wherein the first mobile device comprises internal processing means to display the contents of a message created on the first mobile device as an image on the display screen of a second mobile device, the method comprising the steps of:

• (a) Providing a capture means in the first mobile device, wherein the capture means is not associated with the camera on the mobile device and is adapted to capture the entire contents of a message created on the first mobile device and including a background to an image in creating a multimedia message for transmission to the second mobile device within a cellular network;
• (b) Entering information on a display screen of the first mobile device in creating a message;
• (c) Capturing the so created message on the display screen of the first mobile device by operating the capture means;
• (d) Providing sending means in the first mobile device adapted to send a captured message;
• (e) Sending the captured message to a second mobile device as a multimedia message within a cellular network by operating the sending means whereby the captured message can be viewed as an image on the display screen of the second mobile device wherein the captured message is automatically displayed on opening the message.
