Abstract
A solid electrolyte for a rechargeable lithium battery includes a compound represented by Li1+xTi2−xAlxMy(PO4)3-y, and a glass-based oxide selected from LiPO3, Li2O—B2O3, and combinations thereof. A rechargeable lithium battery includes the solid electrolyte.

A solid electrolyte for a rechargeable lithium battery, comprising:
- a compound represented by Chemical Formula 1;
- and
- a glass-based oxide selected from the group consisting of LiPO3, Li2O—B2O3, and combinations thereof:
- Li1+xTi2−xAlxMy(PO4)3-y Chemical Formula 1
- wherein, x is an integer of 0 or 1, M is Si or Ge, and y is an integer of 0 or 1.

A rechargeable lithium battery, comprising:
- a positive electrode comprising a positive active material;
- a negative electrode comprising a negative active material;
- and
- a solid electrolyte comprising a compound represented by Chemical Formula 1, and a glass-based oxide selected from the group consisting of LiPO3, Li2O—B2O3, and combinations thereof:
- Li1+xTi2−xAlxMy(PO4)3-y Chemical Formula 1
- wherein, x is an integer of 0 or 1, M is Si or Ge, and y is an integer of 0 or 1.
