A lock for a luggage box installed overhead in the cabin of an aircraft, including a stationary housing and a cover that can move about a rotary axis. The lock includes a locking pin device that can be mounted on the housing, having two locking pins (32, 32b) disposed in parallel, a catch (20) that can be mounted on the cover and that has two locking hooks (55, 55b) that can be pivoted about a pivot axis (22, 22b) for receiving the locking pins (32, 32b) for locking the lock (10), and a manually actuatable drive device (60) for jointly pivoting the locking hooks (51, 51b) away from the locking pins (32, 32b) for unlocking the lock (10). The drive device (60) has a gear rack (62) and a sliding element (64) that can be linearly displaced against the pressure of a spring element (70). The locking hooks (51, 51b) are each connected to the gear rack (62) or the sliding element (64) by a knee lever (74, 74b) that is hinged to the closing hook (51, 51b) adjacent to the pivot axis (22, 22b) thereof in such a way that the lock can be opened again only by tensile force acting on the hinged point of the knee lever (74, 74b) on the locking hook (51, 51b). This allows the functions of fail-safe and positive locking, which are required in aeronautical engineering, in a simple manner, wherein positive locking is achieved in that the knee levers (74, 74b) can each be brought into an end locking position in which said joints are mechanically locked and thus automatically prevent the lock from opening due to overload or vibration.
A valve comprising a valve housing (1), having an interior space in which a fluid line piece (2) is provided having an outflow-side circumferential edge region that forms a valve seat (3) for a valve body (4), said valve body (4) can be moved between an open position and a closed position firstly by a pressure, which acts on the valve body (4), of the fluid flowing in through the fluid line piece (2) and secondly by a counterpressure, in said closed position the valve body (4) acts on the outflow-side circumferential edge region of the fluid line piece (2), the counterpressure is adapted to act on the valve body (4) counter to a regular throughflow direction, a sliding guide having a guide path is assigned to the valve body (4) and is bounded by a housing inner circumference of the valve housing (1) and an outer circumference of the fluid line piece (2), the valve body (4) has at least one annular sliding piece (5), which is displaceably guided in the sliding guide, and a closure piece (7) which acts on the valve seat (3) in the closed position, and the closure piece (7) and the sliding piece (5) are connected to one another by connecting webs (6) which delimit throughflow openings therebetween.
