Systems and Methods for Generating Sitelets Using Information Assets

A machine readable media embodying instructions, the instructions causing a data processing system to perform a method, the method comprising:

• receiving at least one information asset, wherein the at least one information asset comprises a link to an information data object;
• receiving an input to assign the information asset to an information category;
• receiving a sitelet category;
• and
• generating a sitelet using the sitelet category, wherein the sitelet comprises a data feed of a first data feed type, the data feed is configured to include a representation of the information data object linked to the one information asset if the sitelet category includes the information category.

A computer system comprising:

• a memory;
• and
• at least one processor coupled to the memory configured to:
• receive at least one information asset, wherein the at least one information asset comprises a link to an information data object;
• receive an input to assign the information asset to an information category;
• receive a sitelet category;
• and
• generate a sitelet using the sitelet category, wherein the sitelet comprises a data feed of a first data feed type, the data feed is configured to include a representation of the information data object linked to the one information asset if the sitelet category includes the information category.
