Abstract
A collaboration service operation method provides an efficient and flexible method for operating services implemented across multiple systems. In particular, the method includes determining a change in a master record, and determining the nature of the change. Based on the nature of the change, the method further determines services to be implemented according to business rules and also determines to which systems the services will be implemented.
Claims20
An operations management method comprising:
- executing with a processor, a service operation program stored in a memory, the service operation program comprising logic that when executed causes the processor to:
- determine that a modification is made in a master record;
- determine a nature of the modification;
- determine one or more services to be provisioned based on the nature of the modification;
- determine one or more target systems in which to implement the determined one or more services;
- and
- communicate with the determined one or more target systems to implement the determined one or more services.
A system for operations management, the system comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- stored on a computer readable memory coupled to the processor:
- a service operation program comprising logic that when executed causes the processor to:
- determine that a modification is made in a master record;
- determine a nature of the modification;
- determine one or more services to be provisioned based on the nature of the modification;
- determine one or more target systems to which to implement the determined service;
- and
- communicate with the determined one or more systems to implement the determined service.
A third-party operations management method comprising:
- executing with a processor a service operation program stored in a memory, the service operation program comprising logic that when executed causes the processor to:
- receive an operation request;
- access business rules corresponding to the operation request;
- determine one or more services to be provisioned based on the operation request and the business rules;
- executing with the processor a service widget, the service widget comprising logic for providing the determined one or more services that when executed causes the processor to:
- determine one or more target systems to which to implement the determined service based on the business rules;
- and
- communicate with the one or more determined systems to implement the determined service.
