A process for preparing a compound of formula (I)
- comprising the step of:
- the glycosylation of compound of formula (II)
- with a compound of formula (III)
- wherein
- R1 is selected from the group consisting of alkylacyl, arylacyl and alkylarylacyl;
- substituted alkylacyl, arylacyl and alkylarylacyl;
- carbonate, and carbamate;
- R2 is an oxygen-protecting group;
- R3 and R4 are independently selected from hydrogen, methyl, C2-c5 alkyl, and aryl;
- and
- X1 is a leaving group.
