Abstract
Lenses for correcting presbyopia are translating, multifocal contact lenses with pseudotruncations which are asymmetric about the vertical meridian.
Claims6
A translating presbyopia contact lens comprising an optical zone, and a pseudotruncation which is asymmetric about the vertical meridian;
- wherein the design of the lens surface is obtained from by the following equation:
- T3=T1+(T2−T1)*(Sin((P3−P1)/(P2−P1)*90))n
- wherein P1 is the distance from the lens center to optical lenticular junction and T1 is the thickness at optical lenticular junction, P2 is the distance from the lens center to lenticular bevel junction, and T2 is the thickness at lenticular junction. P3 and T3 are the arbitrary distance from the lens center and thickness at an arbitrary position.
