Systems and methods for determining positioning of objects within a scene in video content

A system for determining positioning of objects of interest in video content, the system comprising:

• a video capture module configured to capture and store video content on one or more computing systems, the video content including one or more scenes;
• a position capture module operable in conjunction with the video capture module and configured to capture positional information regarding one or more objects in a scene captured by the video capture module;
• an object detection module operable on one or more computing systems and configured to detect one or more objects of interest corresponding to the objects in the scene captured by the video capture module;
• and
• a position determination module operable on the one or more computing systems and configured to identify the one or more objects of interest based at least in part on the positional information captured by the position capture module.

A system for determining positioning of objects of interest in video content, the system comprising:

• one or more computing systems each including a programmable circuit and a memory, the computing systems communicatively interconnected to execute program instructions, which, when executed, cause the one or more computing systems to:
• receive position information from one or more radio frequency tags associated with a corresponding one or more physical objects;
• receive video content including a recorded scene containing the one or more physical objects such that positions of the physical objects are known;
• detect the one or more objects within the recorded scene of the video content;
• and
• identify one or more objects of interest in the recorded scene corresponding to the objects at least in part by extrapolating from the known physical positions of the objects in the scene.
