Abstract
A display apparatus includes: a display panel; an LED backlight unit that emits light to the display panel; an LED driver that drives an LED of the LED backlight unit; an LED temperature detection portion that detects an LED temperature of the LED backlight unit; and a correction portion that based on a detection result from the LED temperature detection portion, corrects an image signal to be supplied to the display panel to compensate for a color temperature change of the LED backlight unit.

A display apparatus comprising:
- a display panel;
- an LED backlight unit that emits light to the display panel;
- an LED driver that drives an LED of the LED backlight unit;
- an LED temperature detection portion that detects an LED temperature of the LED backlight unit;
- and
- a correction portion that based on a detection result from the LED temperature detection portion, corrects an image signal to be supplied to the display panel to compensate for a color temperature change of the LED backlight unit.
