Belt and method to manufacture

A method for manufacturing a belt, which is one of a transport belt and a process belt, for one of a paper machine, a cardboard machine, and a tissue machine for one of producing and treating a web of fibrous material, said method comprising the steps of:

• (a) providing that the belt includes a textile fabric and a polymer coating, said textile fabric being permeable and, viewed in a cross machine direction of the belt, having a width which is defined, said textile fabric including a first side facing a paper side of the belt and a second side facing a machine side of the belt, said polymer coating made of a polymer material;
• (b) coating said textile fabric on a partial said width with said polymer material in a viscous state to provide a first coating segment which is first formed and thereby at least partially providing said polymer coating;
• (c) coating said textile fabric on a partial said width with said polymer material in said viscous state to subsequently form a second coating segment which overlaps said first coating segment in an overlap area in a cross machine direction and thereby at least partially providing said polymer coating;
• (d) causing a bond of said first and second coating segments in said overlap area;
• and
• (e) converting said polymer material from said viscous state to a solid state.

A method for manufacturing a belt, which is one of a transport belt and a process belt, for one of a paper machine, a cardboard machine, and a tissue machine for one of producing and treating a web of fibrous material, said method comprising the steps of:

• providing that the belt includes a textile fabric which is permeable and which is a continuous textile fabric belt, said textile fabric including a first longitudinal edge and a second longitudinal edge respectively extending in a machine direction of the belt;
• coating said textile fabric with a polymer material in a viscous state by way of a coating apparatus such that only a partial width of said textile fabric is coated simultaneously with said polymer material in said viscous state by way of said coating apparatus, said textile fabric being moved in said machine direction of the belt and said coating apparatus being moved in a cross machine direction of the belt relative to each other so that, after moving said coating apparatus from said first longitudinal edge of said textile fabric to said second longitudinal edge of said textile fabric, said polymer material, which was applied onto said textile fabric in a helix-type path, forms a polymer coating which totally covers said textile fabric;
• and
• converting said polymer material from said viscous to a solid state.

A method for manufacturing a belt, which is one of a transport belt and a process belt, for one of a paper machine, a cardboard machine, and a tissue machine for one of producing and treating a web of fibrous material, said method comprising the steps of:

• providing a textile fabric which is permeable and which has a first side facing a paper side of the belt and a second side facing a machine side of the belt;
• coating said textile fabric with a polymer material in a viscous state, said polymer material being applied in said viscous state from a certain one of said first side and said second side onto said textile fabric so that said polymer material flows from said certain one of said first side and said second side of said textile fabric through a plurality of openings of said textile fabric to a remaining one of said first side and said second side of said textile fabric and thereby forms an integral polymer coating which extends from said first side of said textile fabric to said second side of said textile fabric;
• and
• converting said polymer material from said viscous state to a solid state.

A method for manufacturing a belt, which is one of a transport belt and a process belt, for one of a paper machine, a cardboard machine, and a tissue machine for one of producing and treating a web of fibrous material, said method comprising the steps of:

• providing a first forming belt including a longitudinal edge and an area associated with said longitudinal edge;
• coating a textile fabric with a polymer material in a viscous state, said textile fabric being permeable;
• forming a forming channel which is gap-shaped, said forming channel including a front limiting area and a rear limiting area, said first forming belt providing one of said front limiting area and said rear limiting area;
• leading said textile fabric through said forming channel, said front and rear limiting areas each extending parallel to said textile fabric, said textile fabric being guided between said front and rear limiting areas, said first forming belt in said area associated with said longitudinal edge of said first forming belt, on a side of said first forming belt facing said textile fabric, having an elevation extending parallel to said longitudinal edge of said first forming belt, said elevation providing a laterally limiting area of said forming channel;
• and
• moving said first forming belt in a same direction and at essentially a same speed as said textile fabric while said polymer material in said viscous state is fed into said forming channel and is carried along by said textile fabric and said first forming belt, and thereafter separating said first forming belt from said polymer material at an end of said forming channel.

A method for manufacturing a belt, which is one of a transport belt and a process belt, for one of a paper machine, a cardboard machine, and a tissue machine for one of producing and treating a web of fibrous material, said method comprising the steps of:

• coating a textile fabric with a polymer material in a viscous state, said textile fabric being permeable;
• forming a forming channel which is gap-shaped, said forming channel including a front limiting area and a rear limiting area;
• leading said textile fabric through said forming channel, said front and rear limiting areas each extending parallel to said textile fabric, said textile fabric being guided between said front and rear limiting areas along a transport direction;
• and
• holding said textile fabric in position, using a device, during coating with said polymer material in said viscous state so that said polymer material causes no waves and no wrinkles.
