Claims20
A method for operating a laundry treating appliance comprising treating chemistry dispensing system having a removable reservoir coupled to an inlet of a dispenser, the method comprising direct spraying the inlet with a cleaning fluid, wherein the spraying of the cleaning fluid at least partially removes any residual treating chemistry on the inlet.
A laundry treating appliance comprising:
- a treating chamber receiving laundry for treatment;
- a dispenser fluidly coupled to the treating chamber;
- a reservoir holding a treating chemistry and removably mounted to the laundry treating appliance;
- a fluid coupling comprising a first coupler carried by the dispenser, and a second coupler carried by the reservoir and releasably fluidly coupled to the first coupler;
- a cleaning sprayer positioned to provide a spray of cleaning fluid directly onto the first coupler;
- a sensor providing an output indicative of an absence of the reservoir;
- and
- a controller coupled to the cleaning sprayer and the sensor to effect a spraying of cleaning fluid onto the first coupler in response to the output indicating the absence of the reservoir.
