Visor and Method for Use in the Production of sucha a Visor

A method for use in the production of a visor comprising a network structure of expanded metal, the method comprising:

• providing a plate defining an extension plane and having a specific plate thickness,
• advancing the plate step by step by a specific step width (S) in a feed direction which is parallel with the extension plane of the plate,
• moving a punching tool for each step-by-step advancement of the plate substantially perpendicular to and past the extension plane of the plate at one edge of the plate;
• forming, by cutting and stretching of the plate, at least four wire portions and connecting portions which together form a network structure having a general extension plane, wherein respective ends of the at least four wire portions are joined in each connecting portion, and the step of advancing the plate comprises advancing the plate step by step by a step width (S) which is less than a thickness (T) of the plate.
