Abstract
A terminal of a rechargeable battery includes a collector terminal electrically coupled to an electrode assembly located within a case, wherein the collector terminal protrudes from the case; a terminal plate located outside of the case and coupled to the collector terminal; and a coupling terminal coupled to the terminal plate.

A terminal of a rechargeable battery comprising:
- a collector terminal electrically coupled to an electrode assembly located within a case, wherein the collector terminal protrudes from the case;
- a terminal plate located outside of the case and coupled to the collector terminal;
- and
- a coupling terminal coupled to the terminal plate.

A method of assembling a terminal of a rechargeable battery, the method comprising:
- coupling a terminal plate to a collector terminal protruding from a case and riveting the collector terminal to the terminal plate;
- and
- coupling a coupling terminal to the terminal plate and riveting the terminal plate to the coupling terminal.
