Switching power supply inductor arrangement

An electronic device comprising:

• a multi-phase switching power supply circuit (20), the multi-phase switching power supply circuit having
• a controller with a plurality of control outputs,
• a plurality of power switches each having a control input coupled to a respective one of the plurality of control outputs, a first power node coupled to a supply node, and a second power node, and
• an inductor circuit having a plurality of discrete component inductors, wherein each of the inductors has a first terminal wired to a respective one of the second power nodes, and a second terminal wired to a capacitor,
• wherein the plurality of inductors are laid out side-by-side and wired such that each of the inductors is oriented with opposite polarity relative to another adjacent one of the inductors.

An electronic device comprising:

• a plurality of switch mode power supply circuits each having
• a controller with a control output,
• a power switch having a control input coupled to the control output, a first power node coupled to a supply node, and a second power node,
• a shunt capacitor, and
• an inductor coupled to the second power node at one end and to the shunt capacitor at another end,
• wherein the inductors are laid out and wired such that each one is oriented with opposite polarity relative to another, adjacent one.
