Leveraging a Power Distribution System to Provide a Mobile Marketing Platform

A method for utilizing a power distribution system comprising a plurality of portable power stations to provide a wirelessly accessible platform with which to connect to users, the method comprising:

• activating a service provided by a power station of the plurality of power stations using an application that interfaces with the power distribution system, wherein said application runs on a user device;
• presenting on the application, content for at least one of a good or a service that is affiliated with an establishment that hosts said power station;
• monitoring user interactions with said content using the application;
• and
• customizing the content that is presented on the application based on said monitored user interactions.

A computer readable storage medium storing a computer program for accessing power from a power station of a distributed power system, wherein the distributed power system comprises a plurality of power stations and a server for authorizing access to power of each power station, the computer program for execution by at least one processor, the computer program comprising:

• a set of instructions for providing an application that runs on an electronic device and that sends to the server a request to access power from a power station at a particular establishment;
• a set of instructions for receiving a message to enable access to power of said power station;
• and
• a set of instructions for establishing a connection between said application and at least one server that hosts content for the particular establishment, said connection for passing, from the server to the application, content for the particular establishment.
