Drive Configuration and Method Thereof

An apparatus, comprising:

• a timing belt or chain cartridge apparatus for an engine having a crankshaft with a crankshaft sprocket attached thereto and a camshaft with a camshaft sprocket attached thereto, the timing belt cartridge apparatus comprising:
• a continuous force transmitting member comprising a timing belt or chain;
• a base having first and second pulleys and configured to be attached to the engine to urge the force transmitting member against the crankshaft sprocket so as to be driven thereby, and
• wherein the timing belt cartridge apparatus is removable from the engine with the crankshaft sprocket remaining attached to the engine.

An apparatus, comprising:

• a timing belt or chain cartridge apparatus for an engine having a driving sprocket and a driven sprocket, the timing belt cartridge apparatus comprising:
• a continuous force transmitting member comprising a timing belt or chain;
• a base having first and second pulleys and configured to be attached to the engine to urge the force transmitting member against the driving sprocket so as to be driven thereby, and
• wherein the timing belt cartridge apparatus is removable from the engine with the driven sprocket remaining attached to the engine.
