Abstract

A shock absorbing member for a wristwatch including a wristwatch case whose side portions are provided with a pair of bands and an operation member positioned avoiding the pair of bands, and back surface has a case back attached thereto. This shock absorbing member is made of a flexible resin, and includes a peripheral side portion that surrounds the wristwatch case and projects further outward than a top surface of the wristwatch case, and a bottom portion to which the case back is attached. In addition, the peripheral side portion is provided with band holes into which the pair of bands are inserted and an operation hole corresponding to the operation member. Accordingly, even when a strong shock of falling from a high place or the like is received, the shock is unfailingly absorbed.
