Abstract
The invention relates to a controlled polymerization method for producing telechelics on the basis of (meth)acrylate, which have a bimodal molecular weight distribution, and to the use thereof as binders in glues or sealing compounds.
Claims21
1-20. (canceled)
A process for preparing at least one polymer by a sequentially implemented atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP), comprising:
- adding a bifunctional initiator to the polymerization solution in two batches to a polymerization solution, a first batch and a second batch;
- and
- functionalizing polymer chain ends by adding a suitable sulfur compound which has a second functional group, to obtain a block copolymer;
- wherein the block copolymer has an ABA composition and an overall molecular weight distribution with a polydispersity index of greater than 1.8.
