Device and method for the ultrasound monitoring, measuring and tracking of heat-sealed seam between two metal parts

A device for checking, measuring and monitoring by ultrasound a hot weld between two metal parts, the device comprising:

• at least one ultrasonic transmitter;
• a shoe equipped with a planar face suitable for being in contact with a wall of one of the two metal parts, the shoe comprising a housing for maintaining the at least one ultrasonic transmitter in a predetermined orientation in relation to the wall, the at least one transmitter comprising a base plate for bearing against the wall;
• a cooling system for cooling the at least one ultrasonic transmitter to a temperature below an operating temperature limit of the at least one ultrasonic transmitter;
• and
• a distributor for depositing and distributing a coupling product between the base plate of the at least one ultrasonic transmitter and the wall.
