A crimping tool for crimping an electrical contact toward engagement with an electrical conductor, including a housing, a pair of crimping dies, a die support arrangement supporting a first one of the crimping dies in a stationary position on said housing, and a displacing mechanism for displacing the other crimping die between open and closed positions relative to the stationary crimping die. The displacing mechanism includes a rotary drive shaft, a crimping arm having a first end portion connected with the movable crimping die member, and a rotary-to-reciprocatory motion converting mechanism adjacent the other end of the crimping arm for transforming the rotary motion of the drive shaft to a reciprocatory motion of the crimping arm, thereby to displace the movable crimping die between the open and closed positions.
Crimping tool, especially manually controlled crimping tool for the pressing of cable lugs or cable connectors, displaying a head unit (A) with a crimping insert (19) and a drive unit (B) actuating the crimping insert (19), characterized in that the drive unit (B) has a drive shaft (1) that can be driven by an electric motor and that is positioned so that it can be rotated around its longitudinal axis.
Crimping tool according to one of the above claims, characterized in that crimping insert (19) consists of a first crimping part (19a) and a second crimping part (19b), which can be moved with respect to the first crimping part (19a).
Crimping tool according to one of the above claims, characterized in that head unit (A), along with crimping insert (19), has a crimping stamp (16) that is in a working connection with the second crimping part (19b).
Crimping tool according to one of the above claims, characterized in that the drive unit (B) has a transport catch (6) that can be moved alternatingly in a translatory manner and that is in a working connection with eccentric wheel (8) that drives crimping stamp (16).
Crimping tool according to one of the above claims, characterized in that for the drive of crimping stamp (16), there is provided a connecting rod (13) that is coupled to eccentric wheel (8) via a roller bearing (12) that lies in a connecting rod eye (22).
Crimping tool according to one of the above claims, characterized in that the connecting rod (13) on its end facing toward the crimping stamp (16) is provided with a recess (23) in which lies a pressure piece (15) with a protuberance (24) that is adapted to the recess (23), which pressure piece, with its front (25) facing away from the recess, rests against crimping stamp (16).
Crimping tool according to claim 17, characterized in that drive unit (B) furthermore has a locking catch (9) to prevent a movement of the cam gearing (37) against a push direction (S) of the transport catch (6).
Crimping tool according to one of the above claims, characterized in that drive unit (B) has a connecting rod (4) that is arranged on drive shaft (1) and a slide (5) that is in a working connection with connecting rod (4), which can be moved in a translatory manner.
Crimping tool according to one of the above claims, characterized in that head unit (A) has a first pick-up strap (17) and a second pick-up strap (18) that can be locked together with the first pick-up strap (17).
Crimping tool according to one of the above claims, characterized in that head unit (A) has a first pick-up strap (17) and a second pick-up strap (18) that can be locked together with the first pick-up strap (17).
Crimping tool according to one of the above claims, characterized in that head unit (A), with respect to drive unit (B), is positioned so that it can be rotated around the longitudinal axis of crimping stamp (16).
Crimping tool according to one of the above claims, characterized in that upon drive unit (B), there is provided a cylindrical adaptor piece (33) by means of which the crimping tool can be fixed on a drill.
