The invention provides anti-FGF19 antibodies, and compositions comprising and methods of using these antibodies, methods using anti-FGF19 antibodies, and methods comprising detection of FGF19 and/or FGFR4.

A method for treating a tumor, a cancer, or a cell proliferative disorder, the method comprising administering an effective amount of an anti-FGF19 antibody to an individual in need of such treatment, wherein the antibody comprises:
- (a) a light chain comprising (i) HVR (hypervariable region)-L1 comprising SEQ ID NO:1;
- (ii) HVR-L2 comprising amino acids 50-56 of SEQ ID NO:4;
- and (iii) HVR-L3 comprising SEQ ID NO:3;
- and
- (b) a heavy chain comprising (i) HVR-H1 comprising SEQ ID NO:5;
- (ii) HVR-H2 comprising-SEQ ID NO:6;
- and (iii) HVR-H3 comprising SEQ ID NO:7.
A method of treating a liver disorder, the method comprising administering an effective amount of an anti-FGF19 antibody to an individual in need of such treatment, wherein the antibody comprises:
- (a) a light chain comprising (i) HVR (hypervariable region)-L1 comprising SEQ ID NO:1;
- (ii) HVR-L2 comprising amino acids 50-56 of SEQ ID NO:4;
- and (iii) HVR-L3 comprising SEQ ID NO:3;
- and
- (b) a heavy chain comprising (i) HVR-H1 comprising SEQ ID NO:5;
- (ii) HVR-H2 comprising-SEQ ID NO:6;
- and (iii) HVR-H3 comprising SEQ ID NO:7.
A method of treating relapse tumor growth or relapse tumor cell growth, the method comprising administering an effective amount of an anti-FGF19 antibody to an individual in need of such treatment, wherein the antibody comprises:
- (a) a light chain comprising (i) HVR (hypervariable region)-L1 comprising SEQ ID NO:1;
- (ii) HVR-L2 comprising amino acids 50-56 of SEQ ID NO:4;
- and (iii) HVR-L3 comprising SEQ ID NO:3;
- and
- (b) a heavy chain comprising (i) HVR-H1 comprising SEQ ID NO:5;
- (ii) HVR-H2 comprising-SEQ ID NO:6;
- and (iii) HVR-H3 comprising SEQ ID NO:7.
A method for modulating a disorder associated with expression or activity of FGF19 or expression or activity of FGFR4, the method comprising administering an effective amount of an anti-FGF19 antibody to an individual in need of such treatment, wherein the antibody comprises:
- (a) a light chain comprising (i) HVR (hypervariable region)-L1 comprising SEQ ID NO:1;
- (ii) HVR-L2 comprising amino acids 50-56 of SEQ ID NO:4;
- and (iii) HVR-L3 comprising SEQ ID NO:3;
- and
- (b) a heavy chain comprising (i) HVR-H1 comprising SEQ ID NO:5;
- (ii) HVR-H2 comprising-SEQ ID NO:6;
- and (iii) HVR-H3 comprising SEQ ID NO:7.
