A composition comprising alpha methyl tryptophan and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, wherein the alpha methyl tryptophan consists of the L isomer and does not comprise the D isomer of alpha methyl tryptophan.
A method of treating cancer in a subject, the method comprising administering to the subject a composition comprising an inhibitor of the ATB0,+ amino acid transporter.
A method of killing a cancer cell, the method comprising contacting the cancer cell with an inhibitor of the ATB0,+ amino acid transporter
A method of treating cancer in a subject, the method comprising:
- determining that the cancer cells demonstrate enhanced expression of the ATB0,+ amino acid transporter;
- and
- administering to the subject a composition comprising an inhibitor of the ATB0,+ amino acid transporter.
A method of treating an inflammatory condition in a subject, the method comprising administering to the subject a composition comprising an inhibitor of the ATB0,+ amino acid transporter.
A method of treating ulcerative colitis, the method comprising administering to the subject a composition comprising an inhibitor of the ATB0,+ amino acid transporter.
A method of inhibiting amino acid transport into a cell, the method comprising contacting the cell with a composition comprising an inhibitor of the ATB0,+ amino acid transporter.
