Abstract
The instant invention provides TCRs having one or more amino acid substitutions that bind to the AL9 epitope of the HIV protein vpr (AIIRILQQL (SEQ ID NO: 1)).

An isolated T cell receptor (TCR) that specifically binds an HIV epitope from HIV-1 vpr, comprising at least one mutation in the wild type TCR Vα or Vβ sequence of set forth in FIG. 1.
An isolated single chain T cell receptor (TCR) that specifically binds to the AL9 peptide from HIV-1 vpr.
A nucleic acid molecule comprising the nucleic acid sequence set forth in FIG. 2.
