Abstract
There is provided a method of changing channels in a communication network, there being a traffic flow on a first channel between first and second devices in the network, the method comprising forming an information element, the information element including a channel change request from the first device; and transmitting the information element from the first device to the second device in a Beacon frame.

A method of changing channels in a communication network, there being a traffic flow on a first channel between first and second devices in the network, the method comprising:
- forming an information element, the information element including a channel change request from the first device;
- and
- transmitting the information element from the first device to the second device in a Beacon frame.
A first device for use in a communication network, the first device being adapted to maintain a traffic flow on a first channel with one or more other devices in the network, the first device comprising:
- means for forming an information element, the information element including a channel change request;
- and
- means for transmitting the information element from the first device to the one or more other devices in a Beacon frame.
