Cable Comprising Bedding with Reduced Amount of Volatile Compounds

A cable comprising one or more insulated conductors which are covered by a layer provided between said one or more insulated conductors and an outer sheath layer, wherein the layer comprises a bedding composition comprising:

• (a) a polymer resin and
• (b) an inorganic filler;
• wherein the polymer resin comprises an olefin homo- and/or copolymer which has a weight average molecular weight Mw, of 10,000 g/mol or more and a molecular weight distribution MWD of 5 or lower.

A cable comprising one or more insulated conductors which are embedded in a bedding composition, said bedding composition comprising:

• (a) a polymer resin and
• (b) an inorganic filler;
• wherein the heat release rate HRR of the bedding composition at any time within the period from 0 s to 200 s after ignition does not exceed a maximum of 80 kW measured with cone calorimetry according to ISO 5660-1.

A cable comprising one or more insulated conductors which are covered by a layer provided between said one or more insulated conductors and an outer sheath layer, the layer comprising a bedding composition;

• a) a polymer resin and
• b) an inorganic filler,
• wherein the polymer resin comprises an olefin homo- and/or copolymer which has a weight average molecular weight Mw, of 10,000 g/mol or more and a molecular weight distribution MWD of 5 or lower.
