Abstract
An extendable applicator device which allows a user to apply soap, lotion, medication, or various other substances to areas of the body which may be difficult to reach. The device can function as a traditional scrubbing or application device but may also be extended so that the user's back, shoulders, or other areas can be addressed as well. Exemplary embodiments use an elastic member that can elongate to allow an extended reach. Other embodiments use a locking mechanism or a retracting assembly to allow the device to extend.
Claims20
An extendable applicator device comprising:
- an elastic member having a first and second end;
- and
- application material surrounding the elastic member and attached to the elastic member at the first and second ends.
An extendable body scrubber comprising:
- a tubular piece of scrubbing material having a first opening, second opening, and hollow center;
- and
- an elastic member traversing the hollow center of the scrubbing material and having first and second ends, where the first opening of the scrubbing material is attached near the first end of the elastic member and the second opening of the scrubbing material is attached near the second end of the elastic member;
- a first grip attached to the elastic member near the first end;
- and
- a second grip attached to the elastic member near the second end.
An extendable applicator device comprising:
- a tubular piece of application material having a first opening, second opening, and hollow center with a central axis;
- an elongate member traversing the hollow center of the application material, said member having a first end and second end where the second end is fastened to the second opening of the application material;
- and
- a retracting assembly attached near the first end of the elongate member such that the tubular piece of application material is compressed along the central axis as the elongate member is retracted into the retracting assembly.
