Electrophotographic Photosensitive Body and Image Forming Device Having an Electrophotographic Photosensitive Body

An electrophotographic photoreceptor, comprising:

• a base,
• a photoconductive layer containing a non-single crystal material mainly including a silicon atom and positioned on the base,
• a charge injection blocking layer positioned on the photoconductive layer, and
• a surface layer positioned on the charge injection blocking layer,
• the charge injection blocking layer containing at least one element selected from the group consisting of N, O, and C and at least one of Group 13 elements,
• the optical absorption coefficient of the charge injection blocking layer being smaller than the optical absorption coefficient of the photoconductive layer, and
• a difference between the refractive index of the photoconductive layer and the refractive index of the charge injection blocking layer being more than 0 and 0.9 or lower.
