A method of handling data, the method comprising:
- determining a depth of error detection and/or error correction coverage;
- and
- detecting and/or correcting errors in data in accordance with the determined depth of error detection and/or error correction coverage.
An Error detection and/or correction hardware configured to:
- have a selectable depth of error detection and/or error correction coverage;
- and
- detect and/or correct errors in data in accordance with a selected depth of error detection and/or error correction.
