Abstract
A Phase-Change Memory (PCM) Content Addressable Memory (CAM) utilized to store addresses of defective rows or columns of a memory array or memories attached to a backside bus of a concentrator device.
Claims18
A concentrator device having a front side port to couple to a processor and provide hierarchical storage to memory devices coupled to a backside port, where data received from the back side port is cached and a Content Addressable Memory (CAM) is used to determine if target contents are stored in a Phase-Change Memory (PCM) array, where the CAM includes PCM devices.
A concentrator device to transfer data between a processor and external memory devices, comprising:
- a PCM memory array;
- a page buffer to store the data received from the processor for programming into the PCM memory array;
- and
- a Content Addressable Memory (CAM) where a CAM cell includes two Phase-Change Memory (PCM) storage locations used to match one data bit.
A Content Addressable Memory (CAM), comprising:
- a CAM cell having two Phase-Change Memory (PCM) storage locations used to match one data bit.
A Content Addressable Memory (CAM), comprising:
- a CAM cell having two Phase-Change Memory (PCM) storage locations used to match one data bit, where the CAM stores remapping information to map around defective memory locations.
