Abstract

A location importation data delivery apparatus is disclosed, including a communications interface capable of receiving, when in use, a request to send location importation data for importation of at least part thereof into a navigation apparatus. The apparatus also includes a processing resource arranged to generate the location importation data. In at least one embodiment, the location importation data is organized in accordance with a data structure definition and the processing resource is arranged to provide the location importation data using a request/response communications protocol in response to the request to send the location importation data.
