Abstract
A spinal dynamic stabilization device is provided, including at least a main portion, at least a supporting structure, and a sliding bar. The main portion includes a guiding groove. The supporting structure includes two wing portions. The wing portions pivot on the main portion. The sliding bar connects to the supporting structure and moves in the guiding groove. When the sliding bar moves in the guiding groove, the wing portions expand rotatably toward the adjacent vertebrae of the spine of the patient by the sliding bar.
Claims69
A surgical method for distracting spine canal, and redistribute compression loads by placing a device with a first load-bearing portion and a second load-bearing portion between adjacent vertebra, or spinous processes, the steps comprising:
- the first and the second load-bearing portion on a side of vertebrae or spinous process and loads referred to compression loads.
A surgical method for distracting adjacent spinal vertebrae, each spinal vertebrae comprising a spinal process, the steps comprising:
- inserting a device between adjacent vertebrae or spinous processes, the device comprising at least a main portion, a stabilizing portion;
- providing at least two contacts between device and adjacent vertebrae or spinous processes, wherein contacts located on a side of vertebrae, or spinous process.
A surgical method for distracting adjacent spinal vertebrae, each spinal vertebrae comprising a spinal process, the steps comprising:
- inserting a device between adjacent vertebrae or spinous processes, the device comprising at least a main portion, and at least a foldable stabilizing portion;
- opening stabilizing portion, wherein direction of rotation is defined from posterior side to anterior side of spine.
A spinal dynamic stabilization device, implanting adjacent vertebrae to distract the adjacent vertebrae, wherein the adjacent vertebrae have a sagittal plane, comprising:
- at least a main portion, comprising a guiding groove;
- at least a stabilizing portion, comprising two arm portions;
- and
- at least an distract portion, wherein the stabilizing portion opens pivotally from posterior to anterior side of spine when distraction portion moves relatively close to the stabilizing portion.
A clamping apparatus, sending a spinal dynamic stabilization device to adjacent vertebrae, comprising:
- a handle element;
- a clamping element;
- a connecting member, the handle element and the clamping element connected by the connecting member;
- and
- a guiding tube, disposed on the clamping element;
- wherein the spinal dynamic stabilization device passes through the guiding tube to arrive the adjacent vertebrae.
A spinal dynamic stabilization device, entering adjacent vertebrae comprising:
- at least a main portion;
- and
- at least a foldable supporting structure;
- wherein when the main portion enters the adjacent vertebrae, the foldable supporting structure opens rotatably toward vertebrae of the spine.”
A spinal dynamic stabilization device, entering adjacent vertebrae via a guiding tube to maintain the normal physiological interval between the adjacent vertebrae, wherein the adjacent vertebrae have a sagittal plane, comprising:
- at least a main portion, comprising at least a guiding groove;
- at least a foldable supporting structure, comprising support portions, wherein the support portions pivot in relation to each other;
- and
- a sliding bar, connecting to the foldable supporting structure and moving in the guiding groove,
- wherein when the sliding bar moves in the guiding groove to provide the foldable supporting structure to approach the main portion, the support portions rotatably expand toward the adjacent vertebrae of the spine.”
