Dynamic paytable for interactive games

A gaming method for operating an electronic game, comprising:

• providing a dynamic paytable that describes a plurality of prizes that may be awarded during a game session, said dynamic paytable comprising,
• a triggering event is configured to start at least one game history counter, and
• a threshold event that is engaged after one or more triggering events, said threshold event configured to use said game history counter to determine if a particular triggering event results in a player award;
• enabling said game session wherein said game session comprises a plurality of game events, each of said game events providing a player with an opportunity to be awarded one of said plurality of prizes;
• charging said player one or more credits for said game session;
• modifying said dynamic paytable during said game session;
• and
• permitting said player to decide whether to continue said game session or to terminate said game session after each game event.

An interactive game, comprising:

• a dynamic paytable that describes a plurality of prizes that may be awarded during a game session, said dynamic paytable modified during said game session and comprising,
• a triggering event configured to start at least one game history counter, and
• a threshold event that is engaged after one or more triggering events, said threshold event configured to use said game history counter to determine if a particular triggering event results in awarding said player one of said prizes;
• a display configured to display a game session associated with said interactive game wherein said game session comprises a plurality of game events, each of said game events providing a player with an opportunity to be awarded one of said plurality of prizes;
• a meter that that identifies one or more credits charged to said player for said game session;
• and
• a first button that permits said player to terminate said game session after each game event, said player's decision to terminate said game session depends in part on said player's skill in analyzing said dynamic paytable.
