Novel slc17-type transporter protein in mammal and use thereof

An isolated and/or purified nucleic acid, selected from the group consisting of:

• a nucleic acid that hybridizes under stringent conditions with a complementary strand of a nucleic acid comprising the nucleic acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:
• 1, 7, 9, 11 or 13, and encodes a polypeptide having anion transport activity;
• a nucleic acid that comprises a sequence having at least 80% homology with the nucleic acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:
• 1, 7, 9, 11 or 13, and encodes a polypeptide having anion transport activity;
• a nucleic acid that encodes a polypeptide having the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:
• 2, 8, 10, 12 or 14;
• and
• a nucleic acid that encodes a polypeptide having an amino acid sequence containing one or several amino acid modifications, substitutions, insertions or deletions relative to the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:
• 2, 8, 10, 12 or 14, and having anion transport activity.
