Claims33
A solid proton conductor for a fuel cell, the solid proton conductor comprising:
- a sulfonated polymer;
- and
- a hydrophilic polymer having an acid group, constituting a polymer solvent, providing a proton mobile path.
An electrolyte membrane for a fuel cell, the electrolyte membrane comprising a solid proton conductor for a fuel cell, the solid proton conductor comprising:
- a sulfonated polymer;
- and
- a hydrophilic polymer having an acid group, constituting a polymer solvent, providing a proton mobile path.
An electrode for a fuel cell, the electrode comprising a solid proton conductor for a fuel cell, the solid proton conductor comprising:
- a sulfonated polymer;
- and
- a hydrophilic polymer having an acid group, constituting a polymer solvent, providing a proton mobile path.
A fuel cell comprising:
- a cathode;
- an anode;
- and
- an electrolyte membrane disposed between the cathode and the anode,
- wherein at least one of the group consisting of the cathode, the anode, and the electrolyte membrane comprises a solid proton conductor for a fuel cell, the solid proton conductor comprising:
- a sulfonated polymer;
- and
- a hydrophilic polymer having an acid group, constituting a polymer solvent, providing a proton mobile path.
A method of preparing a polymer electrolyte membrane using a solid proton conductor, comprising:
- mixing and stirring a sulfonated polymer, a polymer solvent, a solvent and a polymeric initiator to form a mixture;
- and
- stirring the resultant mixture at room temperature and heat treating the mixture to prepare the polymer electrolyte membrane.
