Abstract
Provided is a composition for forming a photocatalytic coating layer, a process for preparing said composition, a self-cleaning article comprising a photocatalytic coating layer comprising said composition and a process for preparing said self-cleaning article. The composition may be used to prepare a self-cleaning article having excellent anticorrosion and processability by one coating and drying procedure, without several coating and drying procedures.

A composition characterized in that it comprises a cohydrolysis condensate of a SiO2 sol, silane and a TiO2 sol, wherein said cohydrolysis condensate comprises a unit of the following Formula 1:
- —Si—O—Ti— [Formula 1]
A process for preparing a cohydrolysis condensate of a SiO2 sol, silane and a TiO2 sol comprising
- a step of preparing a silane solution;
- and
- a step of mixing a mixed solution of a SiO2 sol and a TiO2 sol with said silane solution to be subjected to a sol-gel reaction of the SiO2 sol, silane and the TiO2 sol.
