Abstract
A web comprising a layer of airlaid pulp or synthetic material overlaying and fastened to at least one layer of regenerated cellulose fiber. The airlaid fluff or synthetic material can be sandwiched between two regenerated cellulose fiber layers. The regenerated cellulose can be viscose or lyocell.

A composite product comprising a web of either airlaid fluff pulp or synthetic material overlaying and fastened to a web of hygroscopic regenerated cellulosic material wherein the regenerated cellulosic material has filament diameters in the range of 1 to 30 microns and wherein the basis weight of each of the webs is from 5 to 300 g/M2.
