Abstract
A method includes a drive step of causing a light control member from a first position to a second position and from the second position to the first position by a drive source, a detection step of detecting the position and state of the light control member, and a drive signal application step of applying a desired drive signal to the drive source in accordance with the position or state of the light control member detected in the detection step.

A control method for a light control apparatus comprising:
- a drive step of moving a light control member from a first position to a second position and from the second position to the first position by a drive source;
- a detection step of detecting the position and state of the light control member;
- and
- a drive signal application step of applying a desired drive signal to the drive source in accordance with the position or state of the light control member detected in the detection step.

A light control apparatus comprising:
- a light control member;
- a drive source that causes the light control member to move;
- a restraining member that restrains the light control member to a first position and a second position;
- a detector that detects the position or state of the light control member, wherein
- the light control member is moved from the first position to the second position and from the second position to the first position by the drive source, and
- a desired drive signal is applied to the drive source in accordance with the position or state of the light control member detected by the detector.
