A wireless communication apparatus decentralized-autonomously operating under a wireless communication environment where a control station is not existed comprising:

• communication means for transmitting/receiving wireless data;
• operation mode setting means for providing a plurality of operation modes that make transmitting/receiving operation active and setting an operation mode of a transmitting/receiving operation of own station;
• control means for controlling the transmitting/receiving operation by said communication means depending on the operation mode set by said operation mode setting means;
• informing means for informing information relating to the operation mode of the own station to the peripheral stations;
• and
• peripheral station operation information management means for managing information relating to the operation mode informed from the peripheral stations at every peripheral station.

A wireless communication method for decentralized-autonomously operating under a wireless communication environment where a control station is not existed comprising:

• operation mode setting step for providing a plurality of operation modes that make transmitting/receiving operation active and setting an operation mode of a transmitting/receiving operation of own station;
• control step for controlling the transmitting/receiving operation depending on the operation mode set by said operation mode setting step;
• informing step for informing information relating to the operation mode of the own station to the peripheral stations;
• and
• peripheral station operation information management step for managing information relating to the operation mode informed from the peripheral stations at every peripheral station.

A computer readable storage medium storing program instructions, which when executed on a computer cause the computer to perform processing of a wireless communication method for decentralized-autonomously operating under a wireless communication environment where a control station is not existed, the method comprising:

• operation mode setting step for providing a plurality of operation modes that make transmitting/receiving operation active and setting an operation mode of a transmitting/receiving operation of own station;
• control step for controlling the transmitting/receiving operation depending on the operation mode set by said operation mode setting step;
• informing step for informing information relating to the operation mode of the own station to the peripheral stations;
• and
• peripheral station operation information management step for managing information relating to the operation mode informed from the peripheral stations at every peripheral station.
