Communicating control information in mobile communication system

A method for transmitting scheduling information in a mobile communication system, the method comprising:

• transmitting a first medium access control protocol data unit (MAC PDU) comprising first scheduling information;
• receiving an indication indicating that reception of the first MAC PDU failed;
• ceasing the transmission of the first MAC PDU if the first MAC PDU does not comprise any higher layer data higher than a MAC layer;
• and
• transmitting a second MAC PDU comprising second scheduling information.

A mobile terminal for transmitting scheduling information in a mobile communication system, the mobile terminal comprising:

• a processor controlling a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) operation of the mobile terminal;
• a transmitter controlled by the processor to transmit a first medium access control protocol data unit (MAC PDU) comprising first scheduling information;
• and
• a receiver controlled by the processor to receive an indication indicating that reception of the first MAC PDU failed,
• wherein the processor is configured to cease the transmission of the first MAC PDU if the first MAC PDU does not comprise any higher layer data higher than a MAC layer, and to control the transmitter to transmit a second MAC PDU comprising second scheduling information.
