Abstract
A light guide plate for an LCD back light unit has a rear surface formed with a main prism portion including a plurality of prisms, and a front surface formed with a front-lens part including a plurality of optical members such as lenticular lenses or microlenses so as to improve visibility of a predetermined pattern of the main prism part, and a liquid crystal display device using the light guide plate.
Claims12
A light guide plate for a liquid crystal display device, comprising:
- side surfaces on which light is incident;
- a front surface from which the light is emitted, the front surface connected to the side surfaces;
- and
- a rear surface on which the light is reflected,
- wherein the rear surface is formed with a main prism portion, including a plurality of prisms, each having a longitudinal direction perpendicular to a direction of light emitted from a light source, and the front surface is formed with a front-lens part, including a plurality of optical members, each having an oval cross-section.
