Display panel, module, and electronic device

A module, comprising:

• a light source emitting invisible light and visible light;
• image display elements disposed in an effective display area of a display screen;
• a light-shielding layer disposed in a frame area around the effective display area, the light-shielding layer transmitting the invisible light from the light source while shielding the visible light from the light source;
• and
• photo-detection elements disposed in the effective display area or in both of the effective display area and the frame area, the photo-detection elements detecting the invisible light.

An electronic device, comprising:

• a light source emitting invisible light and visible light;
• image display elements disposed in an effective display area of a display screen;
• a light-shielding layer disposed in a frame area around the effective display area, the light-shielding layer transmitting the invisible light from the light source while shielding the visible light from the light source;
• and
• photo-detection elements disposed in the effective display area or in both of the effective display area and the frame area, the photo-detection elements detecting the invisible light.
