Abstract
The invention concerns a method for producing three-dimensional objects (3) layer by layer using a powdery material (5) which can be solidified by irradiating it with a high-energy beam.

A method comprising:
- producing three-dimensional objects layer by layer using a powdery material which can be solidified by irradiating it with a high-energy beam, wherein the method comprises
- controlling the amount of ions present in the close vicinity in the position where the high-energy beam radiates the powdery material.

- producing three-dimensional objects layer by layer using a powdery material which can be solidified by irradiating it with a high-energy beam, wherein the method comprises:
- introducing a supplementary gas into the vacuum chamber of the equipment, and
- controlling the pressure of the gas to a predefined pressure level, said supplementary gas being capable of producing a predefined number of ions when irradiated by the high-energy beam.

- producing three-dimensional objects layer by layer using a powdery material which can be solidified by irradiating it with a high-energy beam, wherein the method comprises:
- introducing ions into the vacuum chamber of the equipment.
