Abstract
A repository receives a policy enforcement point. The repository is a component of a service oriented architecture. A repository manager identifies a service associated with a service level agreement that specifies the policy enforcement point. The policy enforcement point is transmitted to the service. The policy enforcement point is then installed on the service without interrupting the service.

A computer implemented method, comprising:
- receiving a policy enforcement point by a repository, wherein the repository is a component of a service oriented architecture;
- identifying a service associated with a service level agreement that specifies the policy enforcement point;
- and
- propagating the policy enforcement point to the service, wherein the policy enforcement point is installed on the service without interrupting the service.
A computer implemented method, comprising:
- receiving, by a service in a service oriented architecture, a notification that a policy enforcement point specified in a service level agreement used by the service has been added to a repository;
- obtaining the policy enforcement point from the repository by the service;
- and
- installing the policy enforcement point at the service without interrupting the service.
A computer readable storage medium including instructions that, when executed by a processing system, cause the processing system to perform a method comprising:
- receiving a policy enforcement point by a repository, wherein the repository is a component of a service oriented architecture;
- identifying a service associated with a service level agreement that specifies the policy enforcement point;
- and
- propagating the policy enforcement point to the service, wherein the policy enforcement point is installed on the service without interrupting the service.
A computer readable storage medium including instructions that, when executed by a processing system, cause the processing system to perform a method comprising:
- receiving, by a service in a service oriented architecture, a notification that a policy enforcement point specified in a service level agreement used by the service has been added to a repository;
- obtaining the policy enforcement point from the repository by the service;
- and
- installing the policy enforcement point at the service without interrupting the service.
A distributed computing system having a service oriented architecture, comprising:
- a data store to receive and store a policy enforcement point;
- and
- a server, connected to the repository, to identify a service associated with a service level agreement that specifies the policy enforcement point and to transmit the policy enforcement point to the service, wherein the policy enforcement point is installed on the service without interrupting the service.
