Abstract
A novel use of conjugates of psychotropic drugs (e.g., antidepressants or anti-epileptic drugs) and organic acids such as GABA in the treatment of pain is disclosed. A novel GABA conjugate and uses thereof is also disclosed.

A method of treating pain, the method comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a chemical conjugate which comprises nortriptyline covalently linked to γ-aminobutyric acid.
