Abstract
The invention concerns a glycosylasparaginase polypeptide with L-asparaginase activity or its precursor for use in the treatment or prevention of cancers or inflammatory diseases. The invention concerns also a novel pharmaceutical composition comprising either i) the glycosylasparaginase polypeptide or its precursor, or ii) an expression vector encompassing a nucleic acid sequence encoding the glycosylasparaginase polypeptide or its precursor for use in the treatment or prevention of cancers or inflammatory diseases.
Claims15
A method for treating or preventing a cancer or an inflammatory disease in an individual which comprises administering an effective amount of a glycosylasparaginase polypeptide having L-asparaginase activity or a precursor thereof to an individual in need thereof.
A pharmaceutical composition for parenteral, oral or local, non-epicutaneous administration comprising an active amount of a glycosylasparaginase polypeptide having L-asparaginase activity or a precursor thereof, optionally in combination with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, for use in the treatment or prevention of cancer or an inflammatory disease.
A pharmaceutical composition comprising an expression vector encompassing a nucleic acid sequence encoding a glycosylasparaginase polypeptide having L-asparaginase activity or a precursor thereof, said vector being capable of expressing said polypeptide or its precursor in a mammalian cell, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, for use in the treatment or prevention of cancer or an inflammatory disease.
